Articles: The Democratic Party's War on the Poor

Articles: The Democratic Party's War on the Poor

Here is the biggest problem that I have with the Democrat party, though the Republican party have issues too. I believe that nothing has hurt, and is hurting America more than the policies too long pushed by the democrat party. There are people that trully need help, but this help was never meant to become a lifestyle of subsidies, unless you are disabled in some way physically, or mentally to the point where you can't sustain yourself. We have too many people living off the government trough, and have settled into being taken care of by the tax payers, who are only about 50% of Americans. America has become a hand out magnet, where even people from other countries come to feed off big Nanny. In addition too much of our tax money goes out of the country, while we continue to have truly hurting people at home. Soon or later other people's money will run out, and the whole system will come crumbling down. We're almost there. America continues to operate on a false money system of electronic funds, ghost money floating in cyberspace, and printed up paper dollars with no real commodity to back them. Borrowing from China won't go on forever. China and the world already see that America has a bad credit rating. When your credit is bad, the loans stop coming, and the interest rates keep growing.

Where is Mr. or Mrs. Right? Matrimony suffers slump, report shows

Where is Mr. or Mrs. Right? Matrimony suffers slump, report shows

In our current culture there is an increasing amount of popular thought that marriage is not that important. Two people, and I mean any two people can commit to one another without a piece of paper. I've always thought if people felt so committed to each other, what's wrong with receiving a document recognized by the state proclaiming a legal marriage that underscores your commitment. I would think that this would only strengthen the bond, as the two would be brave enough to tell the world that we are committed, and this marriage will last. It is easier to walk away from a non documented commitment. Eventhough documented marriages fail for various reasons, legal marriages shows the seriousness society places on the bond of matrimony. Now enter children: Any honest person should easily see the affects of fatherless, or motherless influences in the home. Many time children are used as pawns, by parents when the courts become involved in custody battles, or child support payments. Inbittered children become rebellious, and seek attention, because in their minds they might see parental neglect and lack of love, or they feel that the break up is their fault. The instability of a strong two parent homelife can lead to so many other problems. I know in our popular culture, it is "progressive" to think that one parent can raise a child just as well as two. You think about it and see the results of people you know in these situations and the problems they face. Now of course there is always exeptions either way, but we shouldn't focus on the exceptions, but focus on the much higher precentages of negative effects broken homes have had on society. This is not to pass judgement, but only to face the reality of consequences of not keeping the vows of marriage because of the all too convenient, "irreconcilable differences", or the cohabitating of couples without strong commitment, especially when children are involved.

Economic Bad Times Just Beginning

Economic Bad Times Just Beginning

In the last 20 years, or longer we've seen a constant shrinking economic system in America. No matter what 2 party monopoly is in power, employment has gotten more and more scarce, with less manufacturing, and outsourcing of jobs being the main reasons. Now that we are in a global market economy, I personally don't ever see a turn-around, unless the American people at the grass-root level wake up to the fact that at the rate we're going, this country will be more like a "Third World" country. These type of countries are ruled by a central government that hands out crumbs to their subjects, in the name of shared wealth. There is a whole generation in America that have been molded to think that Big Gov knows best. To achieve this, education, entertainment, and media
are the main culprits of promoting what is 75% socialism. The government broad brushes everyone as the same, in the name of fariness, using other people's money (tax payers) for mass redistribution of wealth, even to non-citizens! Soon or later the money runs out, the country collapses and then you have all kinds of upheavel. This causes frustration and a feeling of helplessness, that plays right into the hands of Big Gov to have even more control over their subjects, because people feel that they have no where else to turn.

Obama’s Jekyll and Hyde Routine: Disturbing Mixed Messages - HUMAN EVENTS

Obama’s Jekyll and Hyde Routine: Disturbing Mixed Messages - HUMAN EVENTS

Are we there yet?
Every president inherits some mess from the previous administration, but at what point does a sitting president take some responsibility of any given current situation? At what point does the American public determine whether the direction of policy is good, or bad for the country? At what point does the American public open their eyes to the fact that the more things "CHANGE", the more theY stay the same and even get worse?

America to the Rescue!

Here we come to save the day in the middle east again. I know this is a effort of the "World Community", but we're still there to protect the lybian citizens from Qaddafi's oppressive regime. But who are we really protecting? There is no telling who's mixed in the mass of lybian citizens. So what is the long term goal? And make no mistake about it this will have long term reproccusions one way or another. If Qaddafi stays in power most likely we'll have to deal with him in the future, because of revenge against America, or whomever else he sees as his enemy from the result of this united "evil aggression". If he leaves power will a new tyrant be any better? I'm beginning to wonder does it ultimately do any good to get involved in these middle east messes.
The president says we shouldn't stand by and watch as innocent Lybian citizens are slaughtered. If that's trully the case how far do we take that stance around the world. There are innocent citizens being slaughtered all over the world. How thin does U.S. military spread itself at the command of action not even approved by congress? How much money do we spend in foreign affairs when we don't even have enough money to take care of homeland affairs. Social Security, the housing crash, credit debt, healthcare, and the economy as a whole looms large, concerning holding our own country together. Where is all the anti war media attention now that their media darling president decided to involve us in another foreign conflict where there's probably no end in sight.? Folks I hope I'm wrong, but I don't see much good coming out of this in the long run. I think another hornet's nest is being stirred in the Islamic world waiting to sting the evil infidels to death, just like a bee, at the cost of their own lives if necessary. I never thought I'd say this, but I think it is time for the U.S. to become more isolated, seal the borders and get our own act in order!

Piggy Banks

I'm a baby boomer, and remember the piggy bank concept of saving that many parents of this generation taught. I would fill it with quarters, dimes, nickels, pennies, and the occasional dollar, whenever I was fortunate enough to have one in my possession. I was not allowed to go into the piggy bank until it was completely filled with money. Pieces of newspapper, and metal slugs didn't count. I wouldn't have been allowed to get away with it anyway. Whenever the ceramic piggy bank would be cracked open after being full, if foreign non-monetary objects were found there by my parents I would have quickly been taught an unpleasasnt lesson regarding deception. Ah speaking of deception, our government is a master at monetary deception, as I talked about in the 2 previous posts. One good thing governed by the elementary school that I attended in the late 50s, and 60s, was the savings bank book. Any student could open a school bank book account, with parental consent of course. Hey remember parental consent. Do they still have that? Anyway with my school bank book I could deposit coins, or dollar bills, if I was fortunate to have one in my possession. If I remember correctly only every 3 months I could withdrawl money from that little manilla envelope. Those were the days when saving was a cherished discipline. What in the heck happened? Money now is so hot in the pockests of most people, it is  spent even before it is earned using the credit card to buy mostly stuff that you don't really need! If we honestly look in the mirror we have to realize that the American debt is partly due to we the people's materialism, the bling bling, needless stuff generation.
Americans are consumers and to a certain extent always will be, but why not be smart about it. In this economic time you'd have to be totally clueless not to realize that you just can't spend money the same way as in the past when it was worth more and more available. We have to focus on the essentials first: Mortagage, or rent payments, heating, lighting, food, clothing, and what really makes us scream...GASOLINE. Why not do yourself a favor and find a way to put more money back in your pocket, as you buy the things that you really need. You all have your favorite retail stores where you spend your harder earnd green backs. You look for sales, use coupons, and still over-use the get it now buy it later at 30% more for convience credit card. That convience is costing you a lot of money! Here is a convenient way that is much more cost effective, and even puts money back in your pocket. Here is an opportunity to make retail work much more in your favor. What do you have to loose by checking out this 15 minute video over-view of a can't loose opportunity. What you do have to loose is that hot currency burning your pockets by continuing bad spending habits. Leave the insanity of doing the same thing expecting different results.

What is a dollar?

So Ben Bernanke says that the problem with America going back to the gold standard as a commodity to back paper dollars, is that there is not enough gold in the entire world to back the American dollar. So what does our govenment continue to do? Just keep on printing, and I guess we're still borrowing, if other countries will still lend us money. The only direction the value of the dollar continues to go is down. That is why gold and other precious metals continue to rise to record levels. Our government doesn't seem to be too concerned about the inevitable march toward hyper inflation. They give lip service to our debt and deficit problem, but continue to spend, spend, spend monopoly money. America has operated for so long on a false monetary system, now it's come back to bite us big time. Folks we are in deep doo doo! All I can say is educate yourself, budget like never before, find ways to sustain your family, and pray!

Monopoly Money

Isn't money supposed to be a promissary note backed by a tangible commodity?
The money that America is playing with now is little more than a well printed piece of paper. Our money is no longer backed by gold. Do we have enough reserve oil to back our money? What do we have of value, especially to other countries to keep our dollar strong? Is it too late? If the US dollar becomes so devalued, that the world no longer looks to it as the main world currency, wouldn't this change our economic future forever? Looks like to me we are operating a false monetary system based on monopoly money. I'm not an expert in this area, but I believe I do have a basic undersanding of service, commodity, and trade. Somebody help me out here!
